ERT Wins Environmental Services Contract

April 1, 2010 - ERT has been awarded the Environmental Services contract for Goddard Space Flight Center as a team member of the Straughan Environmental Services, Inc. (SES).

As a subcontractor to SES, ERT will perform approximately 50 percent of the tasking on the contract. Under this contract, task orders will be issued for environmental services in support of the Greenbelt Environmental Team for regulatory requirements and stewardship of Goddard. Services areas include environmental planning and impact assessment, air quality, waste prevention and management, water quality, natural resources, a restoration program, environmental and risk exposure, and safety and general environmental management programs.

The total maximum value of this indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract is $20 million with an effective ordering period of five years.

About NASA GSFC

NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center is a major U.S. laboratory for developing and operating unmanned scientific spacecraft. The center manages many of NASA’s Earth observation, astronomy, and space physics missions. In addition the main campus in Greenbelt, MD, the center includes the Wallops Flight Facility at Wallops Island, VA; the Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York City; and the Independent Verification and Validation Facility in West Virginia. The Greenbelt campus provides more than 3 million square feet of research and development space for the construction and development of spacecraft software, scientific instruments as well as the spacecraft themselves.
